R-Studio

R-Studio is an app that allows you to recover any file that you've deleted by mistake from your Mac. With this totally free trial version, you'll be able to recover files under 256KB, which basically allows you to recover small text documents and other similar files. The full license, however, allows you to recover files of any size.

One of the strengths of R-Studio's family of data recovery programs is that it's specially designed for the Mac OS environment. This app allows you to recover files from APFS, HFS+, and HFS partitions. In addition, for heavily damaged or unknown file systems, raw file recovery (scanning for known file types) can be used. R-Studio for Mac can also recover data stored on disks, even if their partitions have been formatted, damaged, or deleted. Flexible settings give you full control over data recovery.

R-Studio is a powerful and complete file recovery tool, thanks to which you'll be able to recover (or at least try to recover) any document, photo, video, or folder. As is often the case with such apps, the results are not always 100% effective, but it's almost always worth a try.
